Wrestler ‘The Iron Sheik’ is star of Iran – Nigeria World Cup game (NSFW)

Retired professional wrestler and social media legend “Iron Sheik” was in rare form Monday as his native Iran was in World Cup action against Nigeria. “Sheiky Baby” is, of course, no stranger to international sporting competition himself, having competed for Iran in Greco-Roman wrestling in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City and having also served as a United States assistant (real) wrestling coach before dominating the likes of that Hollywood Blonde jabroni, Hulk Hogan, in the squared circle.

Today, Sheik is best known for hurling 140-character-or-less insults online at wrestlers, professional athletes and random celebrities. Here is a brief translation of Sheik’s live tweeting of Iran-Nigeria, a game that desperately needed some added spice from the legend:

Oh. Sorry. This is from Sunday night. But Sheiky baby is probably correct. What this means is that San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is the most eligible bachelor in the greater San Antonio area right now thanks to the Spurs winning pro basketball’s title on Sunday night.

A classic Sheik play on words. Did you know he does standup? This is Sheiky baby getting on the good side of his many American fans ahead of Monday night’s U.S. – Ghana World Cup game.

Sheik’s Iran Super Fan prediction: Iran 67, Nigeria 1. Virgil is a former professional wrestler that he doesn’t see eye-to-eye with currently. But if Virgil were to tragically pass away like one of Sheik’s other old nemesis,’ the Ultimate Warrior, there’s no doubt Sheik would show the proper respect, and love him forever.

Not touching this one. I like being employed.

Sheik making the bold prediction that the U.S. will give the Germans a game when they meet on June 26.

Khosro Heydari is a top Iranian soccer player and his name apparently reminds Sheik of the name Mama Sheik gave him some 72 years ago – Khosrow. Adorable.
