A koala bear that recently suffered injuries from bushfires in southern Australia is now able to use its paws again thanks to the help of protective mittens.

The two-year-old male Southern Koala who goes by the name “Goldie” is being treated at the Adelaide Koala Wildlife Hospital located in Plympton, Australia.

The adorable koala bear has been fitted with a colorful pair of mittens after suffering major burns on his paws when he was caught in the wildfires.

The koalas need to have burn cream applied to their paws and the mittens serve as a temporary solution to keep their little paws protects and speed up the healing process.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare ( IFAW ) has asked the public to donate mittens for the cause and has posted information about this on their site .
