Bill Belichick’s press conferences have been comical in the past, simply because of the level of awkwardness that typically ensues.
The Patriots head coach was in an unusually jovial mood Wednesday in Foxboro, and took a small jab at the hated Jets when asked about his time as head coach of the Browns, who the Pats play this Sunday.
“I was there for five years,” Belichick said of Cleveland. “Those were five important years of my life, for myself and my family and all that. But obviously we’ve all moved on and I have a job to do here … It’s no different than how I feel, honestly, about the Colts or the Lions or the Broncos (previous Belichick assistant coaching stops).
“I feel differently about the Jets. We won’t put them in that category.”
