Birds finalize rookie roster before minicamp

2013 NFL Combine Joe Kruger signed a rookie contract with the Eagles Thursday.

Is Mike Vick already ahead of Nick Foles on the depth chart?

According to Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin, he is. Apparently Vick has been taking the majority of snaps with the first team.

“Right now, you got Mike going with the ones and Nick sprinkled in some reps here and there,” Maclin told Philly.com.

Maclin was stating how the voluntary camps went, not interjecting any opinion.

The Eagles open rookie minicamp Friday at the NovaCare Complex. On Thursday, the team released its finalized 42-man roster for that camp. The list includes a good mix of undrafted rookies and journeymen veterans, including former Eagles linebacker Chris Gocong. Some other names of note: Temple alums Marcus Green (LB), Montel Harris (RB), Devin Tyler (OL), along with Penn State’s Pete Massaro (LB). Undrafted rookie free agent running back Miguel Maysonet is an intriguing one to watch.

The team also announced that it had signed five draft picks: tight end Zach Ertz, safety Earl Wolff, defensive end Joe Kruger, cornerback Jordan Poyer and defensive end David King.

Eagles OTAs begin May 13 and continue sopradically through May 31.
