David Quinn took the reigns as head coach of the Boston University Terriers hockey team Tuesday, replacing Jack Parker, who was behind BU’s bench for 40 years.
Quinn played under Parker from 1984-87 and was most recently an assistant with the Colorado Avalanche.
“I surely wouldn’t be in this position if it were not for Jack Parker and I’m very lucky to be able to call him my coach, mentor and friend … I look forward to continuing that (loyalty in the program) and the legacy that Coach Parker leaves behind,” Quinn said, according to ESPN.
