Celtics drop close one in Orlando

Once again the Celtics got off to a good start, but couldn't hang on to the lead as they fell to the Magic, 93-91, in Orlando Sunday night. With the loss the C's are now 14-28 and have tied for the fourth-worst record in the NBA.

The Celtics had the ball in the final seconds with a chance to tie or win the game, but they failed to get a shot off. Getting the start, Kris Humphries had a solid game recording 18 points and 12 rebounds despite the loss. Jeff Green paced the C's with 22 points, while in his second game of the year, Rajon Rondo added six points and four assists in 21 minutes of game action.

Arron Afflalo had 20 points for the Magic as they only had seven players see action in the win.

The Florida road trip will continue Tuesday night (7:30, CSNNE) in Miami when the Celtics take on the Heat.

What they'll be saying: With the loss, the Celtics dropped their second straight and 14th of their last 16. They led by eight after one, but were outscored by 15 points in the second quarter to allow the Magic to take control of the game. The C's fought back but couldn't get the hoop they needed down the stretch. Rondo looked better in his second game back, but he is still getting back into the flow of the game, which will take a few more games.
