Celtics fall to Suns in Bradley’s return

Even with the return of Avery Bradley the Celtics fell to the Suns 87-80 at the TD Garden Friday night. It was the third straight loss for the C's.

It was a tie game with just over 50 seconds left when Alex Len converted a three-point play, giving the Suns a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Kris Humphries led the Celtics finishing with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Chris Johnson added 11 points off the bench in the loss. Bradley played 17 minutes and recorded nine points in his return from a right ankle injury.

The Suns were led by Goran Dragic who finished with a game-high 20 points.

The Celtics will return to the court Sunday night (6:00, CSNNE) in New Orleans against the Pelicans.

What they'll be saying: It was an entertaining game as the teams went back-and-forth all night. The C's fell behind by double-digits early on, but cut the deficit to two at the half. The home team started the fourth quarter on an 11-0 run to take a 69-64 lead, but the Suns responded with a run of their own before the teams traded baskets until the Suns pulled away in the final minute. It was a poor shooting night as the C's shot just 30 percent from the field.
