‘Colbert Report’ taping halted in Hell’s Kitchen

Comedy Central has suspended at least two days of taping for “The Colbert Report” which is recorded in Hell’s Kitchen.

A spokesperson for the network told The New York Times that the show did not tape as scheduled on Wednesday and it will not tape again tonight due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Production staffers told the Daily News that Colbert is dealing with a family emergency.

Repeat episodes will replace the two new shows that were postponed at the West 54th Street studios.

Audience members who were scheduled to attend Wednesday and Thursday’s tapings reportedly received notification that they’d need to make reservations for a future taping instead.

Author Susan Cain, who was scheduled to be interviewed for tonight’s taping, responded to an inquiry about her appearance on Twitter, saying she would be on the show in March instead.
