Gone are the days when going to the ballpark meant a hot dog, soda or crackerjacks.
And that isn't a bad thing.
The Phillies and Aramark unveiled some of the delicious new dishes available to fans at Citizens Bank Park this year, and some of them look (and taste) like they're straight out of a gourmet restaurant in Rittenhouse Square.
"It's a very exciting year for us," Concessions Manager for Aramark at Citizens Bank Park Jeremy Campbell said. "This year we took a different approach, fans first."
On Celebrate Sundays, Phillies fans will be able to take advantage of a three for $10 deal. For ten bucks, visitors to the ballpark can have any combination of hot dog, soft pretzel, popcorn, soda and more.
Speaking of hot dogs, the ballpark frank got a bit of a makeover thanks to the talented Amamark team. Dogs with bacon, with chilli and with a Philly Cheesesteak on top highlight the new items.
"It's going to go well with your favorite beverage," Campbell said.
Another interesting feature in the ballpark will be the deli pastrami sandwich.
"This is an actual labor of love," Campbell said. "It's a five day cooking process, all in house. It's absolutely amazing. It's a sandwich that is just as good, if not better than a deli pastrami sandwich."
