Planning a trip to Fenway Park in the summer of 2021? Expect Dustin Pedroia to still be planted by second base.
Pedroia, who is enjoying another MVP-caliber year, agreed to a seven-year contract extension on top of his current deal yesterday, according to WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford. The seven-year deal is worth a reported $100 million and features a full no-trade clause.
The 29-year-old Pedroia is hitting .308 this season with six homers and 57 RBIs.
