Gamers, rejoice.
The world’s favorite sports video game franchise released the trailer to its newest installment, “FIFA 18,” and it looks downright ridiculous.
The EA Sports staple is featuring a new cover athlete this year, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and his fingerprints look to be all over a game that continues to make its video game look, feel and sound more realistic:
So maybe this year, you can finally take down that friend that has held “FIFA” bragging rights over you for the past decade. I’m looking at you, Giancarlo.

Ronaldo’s cover nod came just a few days after his Real Madrid side became the first club to ever with the UEFA Champions League in two straight seasons. Last year, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus won a fan vote to be featured on the cover after Barcelona’s Lionel Messi was “FIFA’s” man for four straight editions.
“FIFA 18” is set to release worldwide on Sept. 29 for PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One, PC and the new Nintendo Switch.
