Giants vs. Saints: 3 things to watch

1. Can anyone pleaserun the ball?

To call last week’s effort in the rushing game pathetic would be an understatement.

They had 17 rushes for 29 yards … as a team. A 1.7 yards per rush average is actually hard to do.

Ahmad Bradshaw won’t play in tonight’s game — the fourth straight he has missed due to the cracked bone in his foot. At the time of the injury Bradshaw said he hoped to miss only a game or two, but that has stretched out to a month.

Brandon Jacobs will be left to pick up the slack. He was booed heavily a week ago. Da’Rel Scott may see more carries this week.

2. Who steps up to cover Jimmy Graham?

Maybe the best player in the NFL?you haven’t heard of is Saints tight end Jimmy Graham.

Graham was fourth in the NFL?in receiving yards before Week 12. Not fourth in receiving yards among tight ends, but fourth in the league among all receivers.

He has 62 catches for 879 yards. He trailed only Wes Welker, Steve Smith and Mike Wallace. The second-year player from Miami also has six touchdowns.

3. Dealing with injuries… yet again.

It’s been a recurring story for the Giants all season — who is out and who replaces him?

Bradshaw is out as mentioned, but linebacker Michael Boley appears to be out for his second straight game also. Mark Herzlich played solidly in his first start, but will need to be better in pass coverage, especially with Graham at tight end.

Tackle Will Beatty will also be out.
