Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is probably going to win the Heisman Trophy. He's also almost taken his team to the BCS National Championship game, where they will be a solid favorite.
But he can only take so many questions about the sexual assault investigation that has marred the last month of his season. Four questions, to be specific.
Winston was cleared on Thursday after the state attorney decided there was not enough evidence to prosecute Winston after allegations made by a woman in Tallahassee, Fla. He would not comment on the investigation while it was ongoing, so ESPN sideline reporter Heather Cox certainly took the opportunity to ask about it following Florida State's win in the ACC Championship game on Saturday.
As you can see in the video above, Winston entertained the first three questions about the investigation, mostly redirecting the questions and saying he just "wanted to keep pushing forward."
But the fourth question was just one too many.
Winston turned, said nothing and walked away. Cox still thanked Winston for the interview, so it's almost as though she knew it wasn't going to end well if she kept asking the questions.
Winston better get used to coming up with cliche answers to questions about the incident, because he's going to have a full banquet circuit around award shows and plenty of media obligations leading up to the BCS title game.
