Jeff Green’s buzzer-beater lifts Celtics over Heat

With the Celtics trailing by two points with 0.6 seconds left in regulation, Jeff Green caught an inbound pass from Gerald Wallace and nailed a 3-pointer from the corner to give the Celtics a 111-110 win in Miami over the Heat Saturday night. It was a back-and-forth game the entire way, with the visitors going toe-to-toe with one of the league's best.

Green led the Celtics finishing with 24 points and five rebounds, while fellow starters Avery Bradley and Jordan Crawford had solid games as well, finishing with 17 and 15 points respectively. Jared Sullinger came off the bench to contribute 12 points and eight rebounds in the win. The Celtics have now won three straight games, all coming in the last four days.

Lebron James finished with a game-high 25 points in the loss, while Chris Bosh added 20 in a losing effort.

The Celtics will be back in action Monday night at home when they take on the the Magic (7:30, CSNNE) after defeating them on Friday in Orlando.

What they'll be saying: It was the best win of the year for the Celtics as they held their own against the league's best. Even though he finished with just seven points, rookie Kelly Olynyk had a productive game, pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out four assists. Somehow the Celtics were able to squeak out the victory despite the Heat shooting 58 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range, while the Celtics were close behind, shooting 52 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point land.
