Will Middlebrooks may have cost Jenny Dell a job on NESN, but she’s clearly not holding it against him.
The most popular athlete-reporter couple this side of Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll are getting hitched.
The Red Sox third baseman, who is currently rehabbing from a broken thumb suffered on a line drive, popped the question to Dell on Monday and she obviously said “yes.”
The two posed for a picture on Twitter, with Dell sharing the tweet and saying it was the “best night of my life.”

Dell also showed off the shiny new ring she’ll be sporting on Instagram.
Middlebrooks is 25 years old, while Dell is … of an indeterminate age? Presumably Middlebrooks knows, but we don’t. The couple incited some controversy in the offseason when it came out they were dating. Dell was the sideline reporter for the Red Sox on team-owned NESN, but she stepped down from the position before the season started due to their relationship. She’s bounced back quickly though, grabbing a job with CBS to be their new NFL sideline reporter for “Thursday Night Football” this fall. The duo also posted a quick engagement party celebration on Twitter. Middlebrooks apparently popped the question in Newport, Rhode Island with her family in attendance. Dell spends most of the video crying, though it cuts off right when she’s about to talk about the ring.
Surprise Engagement Party! @middlebrooks had all our family & best friends in for the occasion! #Lucky http://t.co/4NPRsCFDRm
