The Eagles’ front office draws a lot of ire from fans. They spend unwisely, draft poorly and won’t fire Andy Reid — but at least they don’t raise ticket prices.
The Eagles announced yesterday that the team won’t hike prices, something it has not done since prior to the 2009 campaign.
Current season ticket holders will be sent invoices for 2012 this week.
“We appreciate our great fans and our loyal season ticket holders,” said Eagles president Joe Banner in a statement. “We understand that this is a difficult economy, and we’re grateful that fans still turned out this season in sell-out numbers to support the Eagles.
“Holding the line on pricing for another year was one way we could thank Philadelphia fans for their continued support. We are looking forward to another exciting season of Eagles football at Lincoln Financial Field in 2012.”
After suffering through a disappointing and “unacceptable” — according to team owner Jeffrey Lurie — season that saw the Birds finish at 8-8, all tickets will remain at 2011 levels.
The average ticket price will rank about 20th out of 32 NFL teams.
