Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will be introduced as members of the Brooklyn Nets Thursday at noon.

Comcast SportsNet New England is expected to televise the press conference live. Nets fans will have even more options. The presser will be broadcast on a giant screen outside of Barclays Center, will be shown live on the YES network and will be streamed on brooklynnets.com.

Pierce thanked Boston fans by posting dozens of images via instagram on Twitter Tuesday, using the hashtag, #thankyouboston. Garnett has not spoken publiclysince the news of the trade broke three weeks ago. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said at the introductory press conference of Kris Humphries, Keith Bogans and MarShon Brooks this week that he hopes to see both Pierce and Garnett’s uniform numbers raised to the TD Garden rafters in the near future.

Pierce has stated in the past that he hopes to one day be a part of an NBA front office after he retires as a player. In one of his instagram photos Tuesday, he tweeted out a photo of he and Ainge sitting side-by-side, so it appears there are no hard feelings on the part of the longtime Celtics captain.
