Mets players David Wright and Bobby Parnell threw away the lunch of teammate Noah Syndergaard Tuesday as the two team leaders were upset that the pitcher was eating while New York’s intrasquad game was going on.

Newsday’s Marc Craig tweeted out, “Syndergaard was contrite, but it was not a comfortable exchange.

"He told me he was stunned when Wright got on him for being in the clubhouse. As Wright scolded Syndergaard, Parnell took his plate, still piled with food, tossed it into a nearby trash can. I asked Parnell about the exchange [and he said], ‘If a kid’s not playing nice, you take his toys away.’”
