The Nets tanked their way to the No. 6 seed over the course of the final few games of the season — resting all five starters on Wednesday night in a loss to Cleveland.

The result is a first-round matchup with No. 3 seed Toronto — the last team the Nets beat in a playoff series back in 2007.

The Raptors were a surprise top-4 seed, especially after dealing leading scorer Rudy Gay midway through the season. But they’ve been led by the tremendous play of guard Kyle Lowry and forward DeMar DeRozen. And while they may not have the playoff pedigree of the Bulls — who the Nets avoided by dropping to sixth — they will still be a tough matchup.

The two teams split a four-game series during the regular season. The Nets won on the road Nov. 26, lost Jan. 11 at Toronto and Jan. 27 in Brooklyn and closed out the series with a March 10 win at home.
