It’s highly doubtful that the Patriots would ever take Tom Brady off the field in the regular season for any other quarterback, let alone Tim Tebow.
But in the preseason at least, New England is using a different offensive scheme when the former Jets, Broncos and University of Florida QB goes under center.
“It’s somewhat of a different blocking scheme for us, but I don’t think it’s too complicated,” Pats tackle Sebastian Vollmer told WEEI sports radio’s Mut and Merloni show about the read-option. “You install the things, you do it in practice, you learn these things in training camp, so it’s good that you get to actually run it in a game and take advantage of that.”
