Patriots free agent wide receiver Donte Stallworth is expected to be fine after a frightening incident in Homestead, Fla. in which Stallworth was a passenger in a hot air balloon that crashed into power lines.

Two of the three passengers were injured and Stallworth reportedly suffered burns. One of the passengers was Stallworth’s girlfriend, according to reports. She is also expected to be fine.

“(Stallworth) is going to be OK,” Stallworth’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said. “He has some burns, but he’s going to be fine. He will be able to continue his NFL career. The injuries are not to the extent they will jeopardize his career.”

Stallworth was suspended by the NFL in 2009 after striking and killing a man in Miami in 2009. A DUI manslaughter plea deal was reached and Stallworth is still under probation terms.

Stallworth played in just one game for the Patriots last season, catching one ball that went for a 63-yard touchdown against Houston.
