Broad Street, Brawlers, TBT

The No. 9 seeded Broad Street Brawlers’ run in the Basketball Tournament has officially come to a close.

Led by a three-point barrage, the No. 1 seed in the West Region, team Colorado, lit up the Brawlers from beyond the arc for an impressive 111-95 win.

Chris Copeland scored 31 points for Colorado and shot 8-of-12 from three-point range. Marcus Hall added 30 points for the team of Buff alumni in their win.

As a team, Colorado shot 15-of-29 (52%) from deep.

After scoring 23 points in Saturday’s 108-95 win over No. 8 Trained To Go, Sammy Zeglinski was held scoreless for the Brawlers, going 0-of-5 from the field.

Zeglinski, a William Penn Charter School product, was averaging 23 points per game heading into Sunday’s game and was the driving force behind their success in the TBT Jamboree at Philly U. He couldn’t find a way to deliver once more.

Drexel alum Samme Givens chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Dayton alum Vee Sanford led the Brawlers with 25 points.

Team Colorado will face No. 4 seed Armored Athlete in the Super 16 on Saturday in Brooklyn.
