It took 24 hours longer than expected, but the Phillies home opener is finally here.

With the Brewers in town for a trio of games, the first pitting Kyle Kendrick against former Phillie Kyle Lohse.

Lohse, who played in Philadelphia in 2007, has a career 2.98 ERA against his old club. Kendrick is coming off an impressive start Wednesday in Texas, allowing one run in seven innings.

The Phillies offense and bullpen will be the key factors in this one however, with the red-hot offense a little cooler after a 8-3 loss in Chicago Sunday.

“I think we’re pitching pretty good right now, scoring some runs, scoring enough,” Kendrick told the Phillies website. “The first day in Chicago we scored seven. That should be plenty. So hopefully we can keep it going.

Milwaukee got off to a 4-2 start with Aramis Ramirez red hot, collecting 11 hits in his first 25 at bats.
