Ben Revere's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth propelled the Phillies to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday night at Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies (8-11) and Cardinals split the four-game series.

Revere, who had grounded into an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, drove in Michael Young to give the Phils the lead for good, 4-3. Catcher Erik Kratz followed with a three-run home run to left field the very next pitch to give the Phillies a four-run lead.

It was Kratz who scored the tying run in the seventh inning on an RBI double by pinch hitter Laynce Nix.

Kyle Kendrick pitched six strong innings for the Phillies, allowing just two runs on eight hits while striking out six and walking one. His ERA dropped to 3.28 for the season.

Jimmy Rollins was 3 for 5 on the game. He hit a lead-off triple and scored the Phillies' first run of the game in the first inning.
