The Red Sox will host the Orioles for three games over Fourth of July weekend. The Sox and O’s have met 10 times already this season and are even, with each team having won five games.
• Boston and Baltimore will engage in matinee baseball (1:30 p.m., NESN) on Independence Day Friday as Miguel Gonzalez (4-5, 4.56 ERA) with throw for the Orioles and Jon Lester (9-7, 2.92 ERA) will start for the Red Sox.
• Game 2 of the series will be nationally-televised on Saturday (7:15 p.m., FOX) as Ubaldo Jimenez (3-8, 4.31 ERA) will get the ball for Baltimore and John Lackey (9-5, 3.62 ERA) will start for Boston.
• The series finale will take place Sunday (1:30 p.m., NESN) with Jake Peavy (1-7, 4.82 ERA) set to go for the Sox. The Orioles have not yet named their starter for the game.
