Former Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre is reportedly close to finding a home on the free-agent market.

Former Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre is reportedly close to finding a home on the free-agent market.

The slugger and the Texas Rangers are closing in on a five-year deal with an option for 2016, according to ESPNdeportes.com.

Beltre would earn something just shy of $100 million over the course of the contract.

Beltre came to Boston after an ugly five-year stint with Seattle. He resurrected his career at Fenway Park, hitting .321 with 28 home runs and 102 RBIs in 2010.
