There will be no Logan Mankins holdout this season.
The star Patriots guard, who delayed his debut until November last year, will sign his franchise tender and report to training camp on time, according to online reports.
There had been speculation Mankins would protest the $10 million, one-year offer by refusing to sign it. But that apparently won’t be the case — and Tom Brady’s blind side will be protected.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the story via Twitter.
“Pro Bowl G Logan Mankins, who held out first half of last season, plans
to sign franchise tender and report to training camp on time,” he posted this afternoon.
