The Sixers will officially turn the page Saturday. According to multiple sources (like yahoosports), the 76ers lone veteran will head to the Timberwolves as part of a multi-team trade that sends Kevin Love to Cleveland to play with LeBron James.
The details of the trade have the Sixers sending Young to Minnesota, Philly will receive guard Alexey Shved and forward Luc Mbah a Moute as well as a top-10 protected first-round pick from the Miami Heat.
The Cavs will pick up Love, and the Wolves will get Young, and Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett from Cleveland.
The Sixers settle for another veteran power forward to replace Young, who has been with the Sixers since 2007 with Mbah a Moute. Arnett Moultrie will become the longest-tenured Sixer once the deal goes down.
Young's $9.4 million salary for the 2014-15 season will be paid for by the Wolves in its entirety.
