The Red Sox didn’t wait until Thursday’s MLB trade deadline to make a move as they dealt outfielder Shane Victorino to the Angels in exchange for utility infielder Josh Rutledge.

Victorino played in just 33 games this season and was batting .245 with just one home run and four RBIs. The “Flyin’ Hawaiian” will be remembered in Boston for his go-ahead grand slam in Game 6 of the 2013 ALCS against Detroit and for his walk-up song at Fenway Park – Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.” Rutledge was hitting .274 with the Angels’ Triple-A squad.
