Surgery for Cards starter?

Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright’s season might have ended before it began.

The right-handed starter, who won 20 games in a breakout 2010 campaign, is in St. Louis for tests on an injured throwing elbow.

From the looks of things, Wainwright could be headed for Tommy John surgery — which would probably end up sidelining him 12-18 months.
