The Owls home game against No. 11 Notre Dame on October 31st is no longer at atime to be announced.

The university proudly said Monday that the game against the football power house would kick off at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field, ABC’s Saturday Night Football Game.

The game is the first nationally broadcast and first ABC Saturday Night Football Game in the American Athletic Conference’s history.

“This is tremendous exposure for our Temple Football program and it is well-deserved recognition for the job Matt Rhule has done with this team,” Temple University Director of Athletics Dr. Patrick Kraft said. “We look forward to having the rest of the country see Temple Football play against an elite program like Notre Dame on a national stage.”

Last week, Temple revealed it was the first time in team history that the Owls have sold out multiple games (they also sold out Week 1 vs. Penn State).

The 6-0 Owls will have some extra time to rest before facing the Fighting Irish, as they will play East Carolina, on short rest this week.

The Owls kick off against East Carolina at 7 p.m. Thursday night on ESPN2.

Notre Dame has a bye week this week.
