TALK. Former “Late Night” host Conan O’Brien left the East Coast for the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles and a gig anchoring “The Tonight Show.” The latter part didn’t turn out so well, but in L.A. he’s been able to start anew on TBS. This week he brings that venture, “Conan,” to NYC for the first time, where Jimmy Fallon and Louis C.K., among others, are slated to fete his return to his old stomping grounds.

‘Ghost Hunters Halloween Live’
REALITY. Ghosts of Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, Pa., better play nice, ‘cause we’re not sitting around the TV for six hours waiting for a Halloween thrill when we could be out trick-or-treating. We’ve seen “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and learned that lesson.

‘How I Met Your Mother’
COMEDY. Two things tip us off that we’re not meeting the mother in tonight’s Halloween-themed episode: 1. Katie Holmes guest stars; and 2. Her character is named the Slutty Pumpkin.
