Vick's meeting with Eagles highlights Jets, Giants preseason schedules

It’s never too early to start thinking about football — even if it's just NFL preseason.

It’s never too early to start thinking about football.

In their continuing bid to dominate the schedule year round, the NFL released its preseason schedule Wednesday. It may not be regular-season football, but it will be the first chance Jets and Giants fans get to see their new teams in game action, including new Jets quarterback Michael Vick.

Vick, who will be given a chance to battle with incumbent starter Geno Smith during the preseason schedule will face his old team, Philadelphia, in the preseason’s final game. Smith is likely to start at the beginning of preseason, with games against the Colts and Bengals first on the docket.

The Giants have five preseason games, including the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 3 to kick off the football season. There are no surprises in their four additional preseason games, however, as they will meet the same four teams they played in the 2013 preseason. Their final preseason game, against the Patriots, will be Aug. 28 on ESPN.

Hall of Fame Game vs. Bills (Aug. 3)
Week 1 vs. Steelers
Week 2 at Colts
Week 3 at Jets
Week 4 vs. Patriots (Aug. 28)

Jets:

Week 1 at Colts
Week 2 at Bengals
Week 3 vs. Giants
Week 4 vs. Eagles
