VIDEO: Dez Bryant’s mom tells police about fight with son

Dez Bryant did warn the public that this video would come out. After rumors swirled that the Cowboys were worried that an unsavory video of Bryant would be released, the wide receiverwrote on Twitter last week, “Just quit with the B.S.. It’s clear as day what’s going on. I might need to do an exclusive interview about my life these past five years since the world is destined to know. I used to let people take advantage of my life. Now that I’m no longer allowing that to happen it seems to be a problem. I’m not ashamed of none of my past incidents because that’s what made me who I am today.”

That video is now on TMZ Sports. The footage is of a police interview Angela Bryant gave in 2012, during which she described an assault by her son. She told cops that Dez threatened her and ripped her shirt at her home in Texas. She said her brother and Dez started arguing “over Sprite or something,” and Dez only got more heated when she told him to leave.

“He was telling me to get out of the way and I said, ‘Dez, what are you doing? This is what everyone’s been talking about,” said Angela. “Outside stuff is going to get you in trouble.’ He goes off – ‘I don’t care’ – and he grabs my shirt and I pull away from him. He grabs it again and tears my shirt and then he starts threatening me, talking about he’s going to knock me out and I told him to leave … I kept telling him to leave and I said I don’t want to call the police on you and he said he don’t care.”
Angela also said that her son took his baseball cap off and hit her in the face with it before ripping her shirt. She showed police marks on her hands and leg.
TMZ reports that Dez was arrested for assault after the attack, but he cut a deal with prosecutors and got the charge dropped.
