Why are people on "Dancing with the Stars" always acting as if being an athlete is a detriment in learning how to dance? The skillsets aren't that different, but every season, without fail our token athletes are told, "You're acting like an athlete. You need to act like a dancer!"
So yes, Sugar Ray Leonard danced like a boxer this week. But he was also very fun, and almost sort-of good! It's a shame he had to go home, especially after all the abuse he already received from his partner, who seemed to make it her mission to break Sugar Ray down as a person and rebuild him in her image:
(Also: We think more people should dress like Sugar Ray does in his routine. Bring back whimsical Victorian dress!)
(Double-also: Every time someone says "Sugar Ray" on this show, we think for a second that Mark McGrath is a contestant.)
Unfortunately, Sugar Ray's bright smile and charming dance-patter couldn't convince America to vote for him, even though Kendra Wilkinson was so much worse and Kirstie Alley's shoe threw itself off in a vain attempt to escape her loopy routine. Does America have a "one athlete per season" quota?
