Argentina is slated as a favorite. Credit: Reuters Shinji, a football fan from Nagoya, Japan, stares at the sky and confidently says, "Brazil-Argentina, Neymar vs. Messi." The supporter is not giving much hope to his native Japan, but in truth the words "Brazil" and "Argentina" are on the lips of most football pundits.
Four out of 10 fans expect the hosts to face their Argentine arch-rivals in the decider, while less than a third think Spain will return to the final. The rest believe Germany will play in the last game.
And who do fans reckon will be the player of the tournament? A resounding 70 percent believe Neymar will take the honors, with 20 percent for Argentina's Lionel Messi and Ángel di María with 10 percent.
