You’ll want to wake up for this free breakfast festival

We wouldn’t suggest getting up early lightly, but breakfast in this town has gotten pretty interesting. What’s better, you can taste some of the most spectacular things made before noon in one place during a free food festival.

No need to stagger outside in your jammies, either — BreakFestival will begin at the very civilized hour of noon on Saturday, June 10, and goes on until 8 p.m. at Sunset Park’s Industry City.

While BrunchCon may have put us off mimosas for a while, this isn’t BreakFestival’s first rodeo — it’s the second year that the team at Extra Cripsy are wrangling all the bacon and eggs you can handle, so expect smooth sailing.

And the good things are plentiful. They’ve gathered 19 vendors so far with incredible pay-as-you-go bites like the Loxness Knotster, a garlic knot sandwich from au naturel pizzeria Gristmill, the off-the-wall morning hot dogs from Great Northern Food Hall, taro “ha$h” cakes from Nom Wah Tea Parlor’s edgy new Nolita spinoff and a olive oil pancakes from Society Café.

Beverages from coffee to Bloody Marys will also be flowing, along with “plenty of breakfast-fueled merriment” including a DJ and dancing.
