A new exhibition in NYC will honor and remember the lives lost at the Nova Music Festival after the terror group, Hamas, brutally attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023

The Nova Music Festival Exhibition: October 7th 06:29am -The Moment Music Stood Still is now open and will run through May 23, 2024, in Manhattan’s Financial District. It aims to be an in-depth remembrance of the terror attack that cut short a peaceful music festival in Israel, killing people of different ages and backgrounds.

Organized in part by American music exec, Scooter Braun, along with Nova Music Festival founders and other supporters, the exhibit is presented as a way to “empower visitors to responsibly explore the events of October 7 and its aftermath,” according to its website.

Many people gathered to celebrate life and music at the festival in Re’im, Israel, on Saturday, Oct. 7, before it was brought to an end by Hamas terrorists, who invaded the country. The attacks resulted in 1,200 people killed, among them 370 festival-goers, as well as over 240 taken hostage, some of whom were subsequently released.

Artifacts from the tragic day will be on exhibit. Within a solemn space, visitors will see remnants salvaged from the festival grounds, including scorched cars, bullet-riddled bathroom stalls and personal belongings that were left behind.

Survivors of the attack will also be in attendance to share their first-hand testimonies as witnesses and victims.

Premiering in Tel Aviv for a span of 10 weeks, the Nova Music Festival Exhibition drew thousands who gave their respects to those who were killed in the attacks.

Braun, known for managing high-profile artists including Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande, worked with festival founders and other partners to bring the exhibit to the Big Apple. He called music a “safe space” and October 7 a day “tragically etched” into history.

“Bringing the Nova Music Festival to New York City honors those who were taken from us too soon, while reminding us of the progress we still need to make to bring the hostages home,” Braun said. “The festival’s message of peace for all sides will live on, despite the continued conflict abroad, as there are still innocent civilians being held hostage under horrific conditions in Gaza. We must not forget them, and we must bring back and reunite the innocent music lovers with their families.”

Ofri Amir is one of the founders of the music festival. He worked with Reut Feingold, creator, director and writer of the exhibit, as well as others, to put it all together.

“I understood as part of our core values that we have to take care of our community and help lead in the rehabilitation of the Nova survivors, to commemorate the members of the tribe, and to make my voice heard to the whole world,” Amir said.
