BOSTON. Three former MBTA employees accused of drawing up false time sheets and not showing up to work were indicted Thursday on charges related to the alleged scheme.
Michael O’Toole, 49, of Milton, and Francis Flaherty, 52, of South Boston, were both charged with presentation of false claims and larceny over $250, while 64-year-old Christopher Peatridge, of Saugus, was handed two counts on each charge.
According to authorities, all three men, employed at the T’s Design and Construction Department, would rarely appear or sometimes fail to show at all at job sites while filling out time sheets for a full day. Surveillance showed the men working less than their recorded eight hours on several occasions, officials said.
