BOSTON. Commuter rail riders on the Framingham line looking for more trips that extend to and from Worcester will get their wish this morning.
The T will now start two morning inbound trips from Worcester rather than Framingham that will leave at 4:45 a.m. and 6:05 a.m. Meanwhile, two outbound trips from South Station that previously ended in Framingham — the 2:40 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. trains — will also now continue on to Worcester.
MBTA General Manager Dan Grabauskas said recently the changes would benefit many morning commuters, including hospital workers trying to make their 7 a.m. shifts.
With the changes, there will now be 12 round-trip options for riders on the line.
