Effort schmeffort!

Let these local restaurants roast your Thanksgiving turkey for you

Stars giving thanks

ROUNDUP. The performers we interview are more than just ungrateful celebrities, we swear. You don’t believe us? Well, just have a look at what some of them had to say when we asked them one simple question in anticipation of Thanksgiving:

What are you thankful for this year?

“I’m thankful for my kids and two Red Sox championships. Umm, I know! Bobby Orr! Those are pretty good. I can’t complain.”
Denis Leary, comedian and author of “Why We Suck”

“I guess the way that I was brought up, that’s the key thing.”
Robert Pattinson, who plays the lead in the box office smash “Twilight”

“I’m breathing, I have enough to eat, I have a beautiful home, I have a beautiful family, and I’ve been given a lot of energy to do what I feel I’ve been meant to do in life, so I feel very, very privileged. And for this year I just wish for everybody that they have peace and happiness and all the basic things in life they need.”
British singer Sarah Brightman

“I’m thankful to be able to live in New York City again, after having toured most of the year. For the past 16 months I’ve been on the road, so it’s very nice to be able to sleep in my own bed and do my own laundry and stuff like that. … I’m most thankful for being able to have my life back.”
Rostam Batmanglij of the New York breakout band Vampire Weekend

“I feel really lucky to finally be able to travel around the country and play this music that I love and have people around the country who actually care, and show up. I think that’s what I’ve been feeling most lucky about lately.”
Bryn Bennett of the Boston-based metal band Bang Camaro
