New local site for job hunters

“Other companies just don’t have the media power to get this kind of
critical mass.”
Cosentino

The new Web site www.phillyjobmatch.com will hopefully make job searches a bit easier for employers and hopeful employees alike.

NBC’s revamped job listing site seeks to offer an improved experience for job hunters, who will no longer have to sort through hundreds of inapplicable listings. Potential employers could also benefit by not having to spend time on résumés from unqualified applicants.

Realmatch (the platform that hosts the site) vice president Rafael Cosentino explains that the site’s improved search engine efficiency is due to a matching technology that’s based on an intricate system of classification in place of the standard keyword search. Additionally, he cites much of Realmatch’s recent success to NBC Philadelphia’s promotion of the job site on air, which has helped develop a base of employers and employees.

“Other companies just don’t have the media power to get this kind of critical mass,” he says.

Still feeling loyal to Craig? Realmatch also uses a unique pricing system — posters are charged only after a successful match is made — and boasts more than 1,000 partner sites.
