What women want: Wilmer
How does Wilmer Valderrama do it? The actor has dated a bevy of Hollywood beauties, from Mandy Moore to Lindsay Lohan (pre-career implosion) to Hilary Duff. He’s even claimed that Ashlee Simpson and  Jennifer Love Hewitt have had a piece of Vaderrama-action.

The saga continues with rush of ‘New’ blood
REVIEW. No matter how this review of ‘New Moon’ ends, whether this critic loves or loathes the film, is irrelevant. If you’re one of the legions of “Twi-Hards,” you’ll be stepping on heads to see it this weekend anyway.

Wall Street dips after bad outlook for Target
NEW YORK. U.S. stocks fell yesterday after discount retailer Target gave a cautious holiday season outlook, but positive brokerage comments on tech bellwether Microsoft helped limit losses.

Annie Lennox: ‘I am my own aids campaign’
Annie Lennox has been an icon since shooting to fame with the Eurythmics two decades ago. The “Greatest White Soul Singer Alive” won a 2004 Academy Award for best original song. But these days, Lennox’s heart belongs less to Billboard charts than to dying children. She campaigns on behalf of African children infected with AIDS. She talked exclusively to Metro.

Patrick is feeding Mass. to the lions

The hard-working taxpayer is not getting any return for tax increases.”

Let me get this straight.

Massachusetts spends $2 million a month to house the homeless overflow in hotel rooms. The state gives welfare recipients free vehicles with insurance and AAA memberships paid by the taxpayer. Massachusetts plans to spend $70 million on health care for immigrants who are unemployed.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has added roughly 2,000 people to the state payroll since he took office two years ago: including his friend, neighbor and campaign contributor Dana Harrell, who pulls in $120,000 as the Director of Real Estate Services, a job that never existed before.
Massachusetts has just raised the sales tax by 25 percent. We now tax soda and candy. Registry of Motor Vehicles fees have increased.

Massachusetts has laid off 114 police officers across the Commonwealth and has not put a State Police class in the Academy since 2006, meaning the Bay State is down more than 200 troopers.

Massachusetts has given at least 98 firefighters pink slips.

Massachusetts beaches don’t have enough lifeguards and pools are shuttered.

And now the Patrick administration wants to kill our animals at the Franklin Park Zoo?

This move cements the belief that the hardworking taxpayer is not getting any return for our unrelenting tax increases so we can take care of the needs of people who do not contribute to the state coffers at all.

Lawmakers approved $6.5 million in state funding for the zoo in the fiscal year 2009 budget, but Gov. Deval Patrick’s line-item veto reduced the figure to $2.5 million, according to Zoo New England. The zoo’s $11 million budget is funded by a combination of state funds, zoo revenue and private donations.

I grew up going to that zoo. My father buys a yearly family membership for my nieces and nephews. And one day I plan to take my own children there.

Free cars for welfare folk or euthanize an elephant? And this guy wants to run for reelection? No wonder there are some moonbats out there who want to give illegal immigrants the right to vote.
