A Dunder Mifflin wedding event

Jim and Pam are finally getting married!

Six seasons in the making, the holy union of Jim Halpert and Pam Beesley finally takes place on tonight’s episode of “The Office.” The bride and her “Office”-mates share their excitement about the impending ceremony, and talk about the effects Jim and Pam’s marriage will have on Dunder Mifflin.

The Bride

Finally found the one

“I just had a fitting for Pam’s wedding dresses, like, just right before I walked in here, and that was a really special moment,” actress Jenna Fischer told reporters on the set of “The Office” earlier this year. “It was really very special to have this girl who, when I started playing her, just really didn’t quite know who she was, and she wasn’t with the right man. And then there I was standing in this fitting for her dress to the right man.”

The Groom

Not a slacker after all

“I think Jim’s (John Krasinski) ambition has always been more of an issue than his skill,” says “Office” star/writer/executive producer B.J. Novak. “I think it seems ... that he would be great if he tried, and I think one of the themes this year is Jim going for it more and ... challenging himself, especially with the wedding and the baby on the way.”

After the vows ...

“Michael (Steve Carell) is meeting with an Italian gentleman in the week after [the wedding]. They’re away on their honeymoon, and the coalition of reason is a little weak in the office,” says writer/executive producer Paul Lieberstein, who also plays HR director Toby Flenderson. “And it comes to everyone’s belief that Michael has just met with the mafia, and they’re extorting him for insurance money. And so it’s — Michael is dealing with the mafia.”
