Chicken wings go up in price

New York. The past few months have seen a reversal in the status quo of the chick­en industry: The average price of chicken wings has surpassed that of breast, The New York Times reports. Prices of chicken breasts have fallen as cash-strapped consumers scale back in the kitchen. Meanwhile, the cost of boneless wings — often seen as a cheap alternative to whole chicken breast — has gone down in re­sponse.
