Pattinson: A vampire in Brooklyn
Robert Pattinson has been playing Americans so often that he has forgotten how to talk like a Brit. In his latest, “Remember Me,” the “Twilight” heartthrob stars as a soulful young New Yorker attending NYU, but he insists he didn’t need any help sounding like a native. “I’ve never had a dialect coach or anything,” Pattinson says. “Ironically, I’ve only had a dialect coach for this film I’m doing now, which I’m doing in an English accent. I guess I’ve forgotten how to do an English accent.”

‘Cirque du’ freaking terrible

Five minutes into “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant,” you’ll be wondering what talented actors such as John C. Reilly, Salma Hayek and Willem Dafoe did to deserve to be involved with such a stink bomb. Whom did they owe a favor in Hollywood?

“Cirque du Freak” goes through a very intense identity crisis before your eyes. First it wants to be a tame Nickelodeon non-spook fest. Then it wants to be “Harry Potter,” then Tod Browning’s “Freaks,” then a “Scary Movie”-like parody.

And across the board, it wants to ride on the coattails of “Twilight” and become another multi-media gangbang of merchandising and spinoffs. Let us confirm for you now, a sequel will never happen.
