Kidding around with Melissa Joan

 

 

Actress, producer and director Melissa Joan Hart is currently starring in ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” But off the clock, Hart and her husband, Mark Wilkerson, are the proud parents of two young boys.

How do you and your partner divide responsibilities?

We try to be there for all aspects of daily life as much as possible. Of course our lives and careers take us to other places sometimes, but we try not to go more than a week or two without all being together.

Do you ever feel annoyed, sad or frustrated when your partner leaves to go to work?

In our careers we have to be away for weeks at a time and then home for weeks. So we really try to take turns and split time. The hard part is when we don’t get to spend a lot of time together as husband and wife.

How is living in a city with kids?

I think a city is wonderful to raise kids because it offers so many cultural activities. It really opens up the world to your children and gives them the opportunity to be independent and worldly.
