Superstar in name only? Not for long

> Har Mar pens notoriously raunchy song for Britney > Guests in a movie by his friend Drew Barrymore

Har Mar “Whips” It

Har Mar makes an appearance in the Drew Barrymore-directed movie, “Whip It.”

“It’s kind of a cameo slash character. It’s only a couple of scenes. I’ve been doing more acting; it’s something I wanted to do ever since I was a little kid. ‘Whip It’ was fun. I don’t even feel like an actor, because it was me in my friend’s movie.”

Wait a minute, friend? Drew Barrymore?

“Yeah, she’s great, she’s one of my favorite people of all time.”

Doesn’t that faze you? She’s a Barrymore; she’s Hollywood royalty.

“Totally. But at the same time, hanging out she’s just my friend Drew.”

Har Mar Hollywood Superstar. The kid from Minnesota, born Sean Tillmann, who took his razzle-dazzle name from a mall near St Paul where he grew up, is relaxing at the Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood. Nice.

Har Mar has called Hollywood home for six years and hanging at chic haunts like the Marquis is one delicious way to spend an afternoon talking about his new album, “Dark Touches.”

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter-superstar recently introduced to the electro dance set with the red hot single “Tall Boy,” an outrageously explicit song, which was originally written for Britney Spears, who turned it down.

“I don’t think of it as outrageous,” Har Mar contends. “I think of it as a straight-up account of a night out. Definitely girl-centric. I like that ambiguity. I don’t want to be close-minded.  I want to be Har Mar and I want to be me. You can read into it what you will, but at the end of the day I wrote that s- and it’s mine,”

You almost expect him to punctuate with an “It’s Har Mar bitch!” But he doesn’t. Instead, Har Mar explains that this TMZ-ready party anthem is somewhat personal, too.

“I identify because I am from Minneapolis and we drink tall boys. I also identify with having a good time. Sure, where the tall boys are, there’s going to be a lot of hot girls. I’m not a tall boy, I’m a really charming little guy that you will find near the tall boys.”
