Dr. Elena Bodnar won an Ig Nobel Award for her work with life-saving undergarments. That’s right:
Bodnar has invented the world’s first bra-mask — part underwear, part protective face mask.
“The brilliance of my idea is that it’s very simple,” quipped Bodnar. Simply unsnap the contraption into two pieces, then strap around the mouth and head.
The Ig Nobels are handed out annually by Annals of Improbable Research magazine, in celebration of the year’s silliest, most thoughtful inventions.
