He didn’t see it coming.

A group of young men swarmed a Philly straphanger sitting on a northbound   Walnut-Locust Station platform  and beat the living daylights out of him, a disturbing video released Monday shows.

The attack went down last Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

In the police surveillance video, the pack is seen approaching the man, who was waiting for a SEPTA train.

Then, for no apparent reason, the young men unleashed a series of punishing blows and kept after the victim as he tried to escape.

The victim was hospitalized with minor injuries.

“Central Detective Division is asking for the public's assistance to identify and locate the suspects,” the PPD said.
